Workshop & workshow Visual Sociology - ethnographic film
In 2009, the Department of Sociology hosted the workshop and workshow "Ethnographic film: between art and social-scientific practice". Theoretical and methodical approaches, research projects as well as works by students and film makers were presented and discussed. Concurrently, a workshow was installed at the foyer of the department, showing documentary films by students, film makers as well as the two classics "Nanook of the North" (1922) and "Chronique d'un été" (1960).
